Genko2 Resort – About the Restaurant

Today I’m introducing Genko2 Resort, a charming Hawaii-themed restaurant located in Noborotate, Oyano-machi, Kamiamakusa City, Kumamoto Prefecture.

“Genko2 Resort”

Heading from Misumi toward Amakusa, you’ll find this gem along National Route 266, just past the first of the famous Amakusa Five Bridges.

Look out for the eye-catching, large Hawaiian-style signboard 🌺🌴

Here’s the restaurant 🎶 a spacious, impressive building. Parking is available right out front 🚙💨

And the best part – the ocean is right out front! 🌊

The dining area is on the second floor, accessible by stairs.

Inside, you’ll discover a wide-open, airy interior.

The resort-style terrace seating is wonderfully roomy. Even better – the terrace is pet-friendly! ✨

It happened to be a rainy day during our visit, but there are also premium seats with stunning ocean views (´∀｀)

Tucked further inside, there’s even an American-themed space that hosts live band performances 🇺🇸

Here’s the salad bar. A vibrant lineup of fresh, colorful vegetables that look absolutely delicious (^O^)

A choice of dressings is provided. Behind the salad bar, you’ll find self-serve rice and soup!

Genko2 Resort – Recommended Menu Items

Here’s a peek at the lunch menu!

Featuring the Genko2 Power Steak and Hamburg Steak.

Plus tropical pancakes and other tempting desserts and drinks.

This place is best known for its steaks, so let’s start there!

The crowd-favorite Genko2 Power Steak 🥩 200g for 1,400 yen (add 400 yen for the set: rice, soup, and salad bar)

It arrives sizzling on a piping-hot lava stone plate (^^)

That gorgeous rare cross-section is a feast for the eyes – sear it on the hot stone to your preferred doneness 🎶

Juicy, flavorful, and packed with that primal beefy goodness – this powerful steak is simply irresistible! 😍

Next up – the Loco Moco Plate with Hamburg Steak for 1,200 yen!

You can build your own salad from the salad bar to your liking.
