Today I’m introducing
Kazuho, a wonderful little spot located in
Shimizu Shinchi, Kita Ward, Kumamoto City.

It’s the kind of unassuming bento shop you might walk right past,
but with great word-of-mouth reviews, I worked up an appetite and headed over!

Inside, the shop has a warm, homey atmosphere,
and the owner runs the entire place single-handedly with a friendly smile ^^

Even the bento photos on display have such a charming, nostalgic feel to them ( *´艸｀)

Each item comes with a photo, which makes ordering super easy — perfect for visitors who don’t read Japanese!

You can also order side dishes only, and there’s even a
Kids’ Bento available — perfect for picnics or family outings!

Best of all, every bento is made-to-order,
so you get it piping hot and freshly prepared!!

Kazuho’s Recommended Menu

You can also dine in! The menu features a wide variety of noodle dishes, including:
Meat Udon — 480 yen
Champon (Kumamoto-style noodle soup) — 550 yen
Great for noodle-loving kids and adults alike ♪ ( *´艸｀)

Beef Steak — 870 yen
Pork Ketchup — 670 yen
Pork Cutlet (Hire Katsu) — 590 yen
Assorted Tempura — 650 yen
Spaghetti — 490 yen
Omurice (Omelette Rice) — 540 yen
Every dish is incredibly affordable — a real wallet-saver! ♪

This time, I went with the
Hamburger Steak Bento — 520 yen
and it did not disappoint!!

The portion of rice is incredibly generous!

The salad is colorful and fresh, with the dressing packaged separately —
so no risk of soggy greens on the go (*´Д｀)

There’s also tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) and hijiki seaweed —
the variety packed into a single bento is truly impressive!!

And here’s the freshly made hamburger steak ♪
Two small patties — easy to eat and incredibly satisfying!

The savory sauce coats every bite — absolutely delicious!

The hamburger steak is wonderfully tender and pairs perfectly with the fluffy rice.
Diced onions inside add a lovely texture,
leaving you wanting more with every bite.

The kind, gentle owner serves up made-to-order bento that’s nothing short of incredible!
