Hello, fellow travelers!
This is Ayumama, a writer for Sarukuma!

Today I’m excited to introduce you to a hidden gem in Asashi-fumoto, Kikuchi City:
Shiki no Sato Asashi Kuradake Terrace.

This wonderful restaurant is located within the Shiki no Sato Asashi facility.
Sarukuma writer Maru-san previously mentioned this spot briefly when introducing the lovely lawn area at Shiki no Sato Asashi.
Here are the opening hours.

The interior is far more stylish than you’d ever guess from the entrance β€” it really took me by surprise!
There’s plenty of table seating
as well as counter seats.
Children’s chairs are also available, so families with little ones can dine with peace of mind.

The floor-to-ceiling glass walls make the space feel bright, airy, and wonderfully open.

And the view through those windows? Absolutely breathtaking β€” it’s the perfect location!
Glamping-style tents add a touch of adventure to the decor…
beautiful dried flowers add charm…
and magazines and picture books are stylishly arranged throughout β€” creating a truly delightful atmosphere!
They serve a variety of drinks
and even sell an exclusive original blend coffee that you can only get here β€” a great souvenir option!
Credit cards and electronic money payments are accepted, which is super convenient for international visitors!

Recommended Menu Items

Here’s a look at the menu!
They offer plate meals, noodle dishes, onigiri (rice balls), and even shaved ice for hot summer days.
There’s also a kids’ plate, which is a lifesaver for traveling families!
The signature dish is the Kuradake Curry!

It comes loaded with toppings β€” it looks absolutely delicious!
The takeout menu is also impressive!

Since the weather was beautiful and the autumn leaves were at their peak, we decided to grab some takeout and enjoy our meal outside.
These are the three items we ordered.
Karaage (Japanese Fried Chicken) β€” 7 pieces for 600 yen

The chicken pieces were generously sized! Hot, crispy, freshly fried β€” and absolutely delicious!
French Fries β€” 180 yen

A universal favorite among kids β€” and grown-ups too!
Onigiri (Rice Ball) β€” 100 yen each

A simple shio-musubi (salted rice ball)!
The seasoning was just right β€” perfectly balanced.
Eating delicious food while taking in such a magnificent view makes everything taste 100 times better!
Of course, we also enjoyed the lawn area that Maru-san recommended!
Sitting on the grass, enjoying snacks β€” the kids had an absolute blast!

There are also bungalows and hot springs on-site, so we’d love to come back for an overnight stay soon!
