As the weather cools down and warm drinks start calling my name,
this is Binako, your SaruKuma writer!
Today, I’m excited to introduce you to
I Love Lepton, a delightful French pastry shop located in
Ishihara, Higashi-ku, Kumamoto City.

The exterior is absolutely adorable, making the shop feel warm and welcoming the moment you arrive.

There are 4 parking spaces right in front of the shop — super convenient!
When they opened, customers were already lining up to get their hands on these treats!

The interior has a calm, cozy atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease.
There are table seats in the back, but currently the shop is takeout-only.
The owner mentioned plans to open up the eat-in space once things settle down.
We’re already looking forward to that!

Here’s what makes I Love Lepton truly special: the owner trained in France,
bringing back authentic techniques and a love for almond-rich pastries.
This is a genuine French pâtisserie right here in Kumamoto!

You can really feel their artistic talent shining through.

Mont Blanc — 420 yen!
Just look at those beautifully piped cream swirls and that elegant chocolate piece on top — stunning!

The texture is wonderfully light and airy, and
the aroma of rum spreads beautifully across your palate.
The sweetness is perfectly balanced — never overwhelming, always satisfying.

The chocolate on top melts instantly in your mouth —
an exquisite, silky-smooth experience.

Beneath the Mont Blanc lies a delicate meringue layer.
The owner has put real heart into perfecting this meringue —
they’ve even shared the story behind it on Instagram!

Even after the last bite, the gentle aroma of rum lingers —
an absolutely lovely cake to remember!
