3 Days of Growth for Kids! A Hands-On Business Camp Comes to Kumamoto for the First Time
2026.03.27

Announcement
Coming to Kumamoto for the very first time!
A Business Camp where kids earn their own money, manage daily life, and learn through real-world trial and error—
experiencing a slice of “real society” while building the resilience they’ll need to thrive in life.
It’s natural to wonder how to engage with your child or what words to use.
But maybe what matters most is helping them learn to think and act for themselves!
If you’ve ever wondered “So what can I actually do?”—this event is perfect for you ♩
Throughout the camp, adults stay completely hands-off—no instructions, no interference, just quiet observation.
The kids run their own businesses and manage daily life all on their own.
Thinking, deciding, and acting on their own.
Bouncing back from failure.
And the very real experience of earning money.
These are lessons no classroom can teach—the kind of “life skills” today’s kids will need to thrive in tomorrow’s world.
Dates & Venue Details
Dates: August 8 (Sat) – August 10 (Mon), 2026
Times: Day 1 check-in at 13:30, Day 3 dismissal at 12:00
Venue: Ryugatake Mountain Summit Nature Park Campground
Eligibility: Elementary school students (grades 1–6) and their guardians
Special offer: Discount available exclusively for Kumamoto residents

Accommodations include air-conditioned bungalows and pre-pitched tents.
Which one your child gets to stay in depends on how much money they earn!
The site has multiple gender-separated restrooms and shower rooms.
Staff are stationed in higher-risk areas like the kitchen to ensure safety.
A medically certified staff member is also on standby at all times.
The Life Skills Kids Build at Business Camp
Using a simulated currency, the kids power a real little economy.
They’ll experience genuine financial concepts like loans and taxes—not just in theory, but in practice.
Learning by doing is the key to truly understanding how money flows.
Meanwhile, adults play the role of customers, supporting the kids’ businesses from the sidelines.
Each child is allowed to bring just one item of business inventory to camp, so many kids start out in debt.
On top of that, they have to earn the money for their own food, clothing, and lodging.
Work or play—every choice is theirs to make.
Learning to live with the consequences of those choices is part of the experience.
The camp’s golden rule: adults watch but don’t intervene.
Every setback and every misstep becomes a meaningful lesson.
Watching kids ask themselves “What should I try next?” reveals a side of them you rarely get to see at home.
So What Actually Happens?
Solo or as part of a team—however they want to do it.
If they can think it up, they can turn it into a business!
What’s the right price?
What will customers actually buy?
Through trial and error, ideas come to life.
Out of money? Now what do you do?
Earn enough, and you can even upgrade where you sleep.
Schedule
Day 1: Check-in and orientation
Days 1–3: Activities, plus mini workshops for parents
Day 3: Reflection and dismissal (12:00)

3 Days of Growth—for Parents and Kids Alike
· Kids handle all their own meals, lodging, and work—building real independence
· They earn, spend, and sometimes fail, learning firsthand how money and society work
· They develop the ability to think and act on their own

The rule for parents during camp: watch, don’t intervene.
· How they get along with friends
· How they handle challenges
· Their own initiative and drive
You’ll get to see sides of your child—and growth—you simply can’t witness in everyday life.
Even in moments where you’d usually step in, choosing to “just watch” becomes an opportunity for both parent and child to grow together.
Who This Camp Is Perfect For
This hands-on Business Camp—where real experience builds real-life resilience—is ideal if you:
· Want your child to learn to think and act independently
· Aren’t sure how to teach your child about money
· Want them to develop strong life skills
· Want them to have a hands-on experience they couldn’t get anywhere else
That’s exactly why this experience can be such a big growth moment for both of you.
