Introducing OBIYAMA TETOTE

Hello, travelers! This is Aromanahito, your friendly Sarukuma writer.

Today we’re heading to Kamisuizenji, Chuo-ku, Kumamoto City to check out
OBIYAMA TETOTE, a wonderful new complex perfect for families exploring Kumamoto!

I was lucky enough to attend the special preview event (*^-^*)
The GRAND OPEN is Sunday, November 19! ๐Ÿ’›

The complex sits along the Higashi Bypass. Head south through the Obiyama 1-chome intersection, and once you spot the “Shabu-yo” restaurant, you’ll see OBIYAMA TETOTE just before it on your left.

You can enter directly from the bypass, and there’s plenty of parking โ€” 45 free spaces, so no need to stress about finding a spot! ๐ŸŽต

You can also enter from the side road off the bypass, which is super convenient! ๐ŸŽต

Alright, let’s step inside (^^โ™ช

Inside OBIYAMA TETOTE

The first thing you’ll notice when stepping in is the adorable logo welcoming you! โ™ช

There’s a lovely description of the facility’s mission (*^-^*). It reads:

“When women (mothers) smile, families smile, and the whole community smiles.”

The space is built around the idea of giving parents calm, joyful moments while raising children โ€” a beautiful concept! โœจโœจ

The warm, wood-grain interior of TETOTE houses four wonderful facilities:

โ‘  Playland โ‘ก Studio Prima โ‘ข Esthetic Salon Ojas (Opening 12/1) โ‘ฃ Sakura Delica Cafe

Let’s start with the most exciting one for families โ€” the Playland! ๐ŸŽต

This Playland was designed to help moms and kids enjoy joyful, smile-filled time together.

First, head to the reception desk to check in! โ™ช

The Playland is for ages 0โ€“12 (0-year-olds enter free) and parents must accompany their children.

You can choose 60-minute slots or grab an all-day pass to play from morning till close!

No reservations needed, so it’s perfect for spontaneous visits, mom-and-friend hangouts, or whenever you suddenly have free time. So convenient!

Cash and a variety of electronic payment methods are accepted โ€” easy for international visitors too!

Now let’s head into the Playland! (*^-^*)

Take off your shoes at the step and store them in the cubbies ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ
Once inside, you’ll feel the floor is like a high-rebound mattress. Even if kids tumble, they’re far less likely to get hurt. Safety first!

The colors of the kids’ space are so soft and gentle on the eyes!

Look closely and you’ll see everything is coordinated with the Dutch toy brand “LITTLE DUTCH,” beloved for its dusty, muted color palette. The result is a calm, sophisticated atmosphere โ€” and it’s absolutely adorable!

Here’s the wooden tool workbench โ€” a hit with the boys!

And it’s not just for the girls โ€” boys were having a blast playing pretend kitchen too! ๐ŸŽต

The picture book selection ranges from 0-year-olds to elementary school readers, so older siblings can enjoy reading too.

There were even history books available!

This was a constant hot spot during my visit! ๐Ÿฅฐ

Even the toy buggies are unbelievably cute! ๐Ÿ’› And those white stainless steel tubes? They’re like high-tech tin-can telephones โ€” kids can chat from across the room. So fun!

There’s also a giant ball pool, where this adorable baby gave me a perfect camera-ready look! ๐Ÿ’›

There are athletic obstacles, a climbing wall, and a slide too โ€” kids will never get bored here!

And here’s a feature I think will become a kid magnet: the interactive panel game!

It’s a touchscreen, so you can play hands-on! ๐Ÿ’›

I admit it โ€” playful me got a little carried away and forgot my age! (lol)
There’s also whack-a-mole and even friendly tropical fish ๐Ÿก that swim up to greet you. So much fun! ( *ยด่‰ธ๏ฝ€)

You could honestly spend a whole relaxed day here, chatting with friends or family while the kids play.

Now let’s head up to the second floor!

โ‘ก Studio Prima

Inspired by stylish overseas house studios,

Studio Prima offers more than 15 different designer-crafted backdrops to choose from! โœจโœจ

Cameras aren’t allowed inside, so I’ll just have to take it all in with my own eyes!

They’re currently taking reservations for Shichi-Go-San (a traditional Japanese coming-of-age celebration for ages 7, 5, and 3) photo sessions. They have lovely Japanese-style backdrops too โ€” well worth a preview visit!

Selmo Member Benefit โ€” Shichi-Go-San Special Plan

Regular price 66,000 yen (tax incl.) โ˜ž 44,000 yen (tax incl.) โ€” Save 22,000 yen!

This was the only spot where photos were allowed! ๐Ÿฅฐ

The natural-light studio creates magazine-quality and ad-worthy photos! ๐Ÿ˜
With natural, antique, and modern looks available, kids’ photo background lovers should definitely visit and check it out.

The second floor is home to the photo studio and the esthetic salon. Speaking of which โ€”

โ‘ข Esthetic Salon Ojas (opening 12/1)

I’ve got my eye on that Body Detox and can’t wait for the opening (#^.^#)
