a delightful little spot located in Kasuga, Nishi-ku, Kumamoto City:
【Kasuga 6-chome Community Park】!
The park is just a 5-minute walk from the West Exit of Kumamoto Station!
Simply head toward the “Kumamoto Station West Exit Multi-Story Parking Lot,” and you’ll spot it.

Despite being so close to Kumamoto Station, surprisingly few people know about it β€” making it a perfect hidden gem!
Note that there is no on-site parking available.
There’s a Tarzan rope (zip line) that kids absolutely adore!
A vibrant red color makes it stylish and eye-catching.
Even adults might be tempted to give it a try!

There are plenty of other intriguing playground items as well.

Some of them are so unique, you might not know quite how to play on them at first glance (lol)!

For little ones, simply climbing or hanging from the equipment
seems to be plenty of fun.There’s also fitness equipment, perfect for getting in some light exercise
while you’re here!
Plenty of benches are available, making it ideal for a quick rest break.

And there’s more to the park than just this area!
Climb the stairs and you’ll discover another play area waiting above.

This upper section features a lovely grassy lawn.

It offers a completely different kind of fun compared to the lower area.There are benches up here too, perfect for relaxing.

Why Kasuga 6-chome Community Park Is Worth a Visit

The real highlight of this park is β€” drumroll please β€” the Kumamon-themed play equipment!

If your kids are fans of Kumamoto’s beloved black bear mascot, they’ll be over the moon!
This Kumamon equipment is designed for younger children.
His cheerful smile is absolutely adorable!

You’ll also find safety notices posted around. Please check the signboards for detailed rules before playing.

Despite its incredibly convenient location near the station, Kasuga 6-chome Community Park remains wonderfully uncrowded.
