About the Park

Today we’re heading to
Okura, Tamana City, Kumamoto Prefecture,
to explore “Momota Sports Park”.

This park is so huge that walking the entire perimeter without a car is quite a challenge ☆

The parking lot comes into view as you drive along the road beside the park.

Restrooms are tucked away at the back of the open plaza.

Each plaza has its own handwashing station — convenient for families.

Right in the middle of the park, you’ll find a wide grassy lawn — perfect for ball games and free play \(^o^)/

Covered benches sit alongside the spacious grass lawn (^-^)

There are plenty of benches all around, so finding a place to rest is never a problem!

Vending machines are located at the entrance of the adjacent “Kanakuri Memorial Plaza.”
It’s an easy walk away, so you’ll never go thirsty (^-^)

Here’s the playground area packed with fun equipment for kids ☆

You’ll discover lots of exciting wooden play structures that get the imagination going (^-^)/

This wobbly suspension bridge is a real challenge — the kids tackled it with serious concentration!

There’s a double slide for two and a wavy slide too —
both are huge favorites with the kids (^-^)/

The swings were a hit too — kids took turns happily (^-^)

There’s also gentler equipment for younger toddlers (^-^)/

There’s a sandpit too, so don’t forget your sandbox toys (^-^)

With equipment suited to every age group, kids can pick what fits them best and enjoy hours of play.
