About the Shop

Hello, fellow travelers!

I’m Binako, a SaruKuma writer who has finally worked up the courage
to declutter all those toys my kids no longer play with!

Today I’m excited to introduce a charming little spot located in
Ozu, Kikuchi District, Kumamoto Prefecture:
“TG Coffee”.

Originally based in nearby Kikuyo Town, the shop has since moved to Ozu,
where it remains a beloved local favorite.

Convenient parking is available right next to the shop.

Step inside and you’ll find a delightful array of baked goods.
TG Coffee used to sell their famous
cheese manju (Japanese-style cheese buns),
but unfortunately they no longer make them.

The display case features tempting treats like:
Original Baked Cheesecake โ€” 400 yen
Baked Chocolate โ€” 235 yen

There’s a cozy cafรฉ space in the back, but please note
it’s currently closed, so the shop is takeout only.

They also offer drip coffee bags โ€” perfect for your own brewing at home
or as a thoughtful gift for any coffee lover in your life.

Whole coffee beans are also for sale in a variety of blends.
Why not stop by and discover your new favorite roast?

Regular Coffee โ€” 352 yen
Iced Coffee โ€” 352 yen
Coffee is also available for takeout.
A hot cup is just the thing to warm you up on a chilly day!

Recommended Menu

Today, I treated myself to the
Original Baked Cheesecake โ€” 400 yen + tax!

The moment I opened the bag,
the rich aroma of cheese was absolutely irresistible.

Time to dig in!

Light and airy!

The moist, rich cheese flavor is paired with
a wonderful aroma that fills your senses with every bite.

The texture is light yet creamy,
and the first taste literally brings a delighted smile to your face.
It’s a refreshing yet rich cheesecake
that pairs beautifully with a cup of coffee.

Each baked treat comes with a small information card,
showing how much care goes into the choice of ingredients.

If you’re after great cake and great coffee in Kumamoto,
TG Coffee is well worth a visit โ€” give it a try!
