Today I’d like to introduce you to
a wonderful spot located in Heisei, Chuo Ward, Kumamoto City –
【Shusai Shuraku Kagura】 ⭐︎

The restaurant is located near Sunlive City Kumanan shopping mall
(close to Fitness Club Refco – Sunlive City Kumanan branch) 😀

The entrance has such an elegant, upscale feel 😆
There’s plenty of parking right in front of the restaurant, so no need to worry about where to park 🚗

Now, let’s head inside!!!

The first thing you notice when you step inside is the hand sanitizer 👍
This restaurant takes hygiene seriously!!

They also have their safety measures clearly posted, so
you can dine with complete peace of mind 😊

And the absolute best part about Kagura is that
they have private dining rooms 😁

So you can enjoy your meal in complete privacy and comfort!

The private rooms are also perfect if you have small children –
you can dine without worrying about disturbing other guests 😆

There are both horigotatsu (sunken kotatsu) and traditional tatami seating, making it comfortable even for little ones 👌

Let’s start with the kid’s menu 😍

Kid’s Lunch – 1,000 yen
Look at this generous portion!!

It’s truly a satisfying kid’s lunch 😊
It even includes snacks and a drink 🥰

The dessert offers both Japanese and Western options, so anyone can find something they’ll love 👍

Now, here’s the regular menu –

Kagura Gozen – 2,680 yen

4 kinds of sashimi, simmered fish (aradaki), seasonal tempura, premium beef teppanyaki, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), salad, rice, soup, and pickles

Kamameshi Gozen – 2,380 yen

Today’s kamameshi (clay-pot rice), 3 kinds of sashimi, meat dish, seasonal tempura, soup, pickles, dessert

Choose-Your-Own Kaisendon Gozen – 1,780 yen

Salad, side dish, pickles, soup

Choose one main: teppan steak, udon, simmered fish, miso-stewed offal (motsu), or tempura. Teppan steak is +500 yen.

The portions are seriously impressive 🤩

Kagura’s Lunch Set

lets you choose one main from: simmered fish, pork cutlet with egg (katsutoji), chicken nanban,
fried chicken karaage, tempura, hire-katsu (pork tenderloin cutlet), grilled fish,
miso-stewed offal, or fried horse mackerel (aji fry) 🤩

It comes with rice, sashimi, salad, pickles, and soup 💕

And get this!!! Hold onto your seat!!!

You can upgrade your rice to kamameshi (clay-pot rice)!!

That’s an absolutely amazing deal 🥰

Takeout is also available 😍

So you can enjoy the restaurant’s flavors at home 🤩

This time I had the Kagura’s Lunch Set

(Grilled Fish – Mackerel) 1,100 yen

Isn’t that incredible?

The side dish that day was hijiki seaweed, and the sashimi was sea bream and yellowtail 😆

The sashimi was fresh, springy and absolutely delicious 😍
The salt-grilled mackerel was crispy on the outside with rich, fatty flesh – it goes perfectly with rice 😂

And what everyone at our table agreed on was that the rice was incredible!!
The rice was glossy and absolutely delicious 😍

My companions had the miso-stewed offal set and
the tempura set – both were delicious 😁

With portions this generous, kids can easily share too 👌

I actually visited after attending a memorial service this time, and
this place is perfect for so many different occasions!

I’ve also been here for dinner – the private rooms make it so relaxing,
and the course meals were generous and delicious 😁

I highly recommend you stop by and try it for yourself 👍
