A Sarukuma writer visits “Mimoza” in Hirosaki, Mashiki Town, Kamimashiki District, Kumamoto. Price guide: from 300 yen. Includes family-friendly tips, access info, and opening hours.
Hello there!
My little one went to bed early for once — what a treat!
This is Binako, a writer for Sarukuma!
Today I’m excited to introduce you to
Hirosaki, Mashiki Town, Kamimashiki District, Kumamoto Prefecture, home to
“Mimoza”.

The exterior has so much charm and character.
When I arrived just before opening time,
there were already customers waiting outside!
And once the doors opened, a steady stream of guests came pouring in!

Time to order!

They also have a selection of charming lifestyle goods!
I spotted some unique items I’d never seen before — you could happily browse here for hours (*´ω`*)

They even sell bags and socks!!!
And they’re seriously cute!!!
I was tempted to buy something, but since fashion isn’t exactly my strong suit, I held back…

Mimoza also serves lunch, so they have tables and chairs set up in the back of the shop.
And lucky for families — they offer kids’ chairs too! A real lifesaver for parents traveling with little ones (*´Д`)

Good news for tourists: they accept credit cards too! (^^♪
No need to worry if you’re short on cash — perfect for international visitors (`・ω・´)

The shop has separate entrance and exit doors,
so the flow from ordering to leaving is incredibly smooth.
Recommended Menu

This time I tried
The Grown-Up Egg Sandwich (300 yen + tax)
The Yangnyeom-Style Chicken Sandwich (400 yen + tax)
Such great value for this kind of volume!
Honestly, I can’t thank them enough.

Look how thick it is!!!!
Absolutely packed with fillings!!!

The sweet-and-spicy Korean yangnyeom flavor, the crunch of almonds, and the freshness of crisp vegetables come together in
the most perfect harmony!!!
There’s simply no way this could not be delicious!!!
And it’s loaded with chicken — incredibly satisfying!!!

Next, the Grown-Up Egg Sandwich.
Can you spot what makes it special…?
It uses HALF an avocado.
Plus generous portions of egg AND bacon.
Talk about luxurious!

The black pepper kick is INCREDIBLE!!!!
And since it uses healthy gokoku (five-grain) bread — a favorite among health-conscious eaters — there’s zero guilt!
I want to eat several at once.
I want one every morning.
I want to try every single variety.
That’s exactly how I felt.
They also sell drinks,
so next time I’d love to grab one of those too! ♪
